Cian O’Carroll Solicitors, a Dublin-based medical negligence law firm, has unveiled a refreshed brand identity following a strategic review of its business direction.
The practice collaborated with creative consultancy The Studio of Possible on the project, which includes a redesigned website, updated visual identity, social media presence, and new video content. The initiative emerged from strategic workshops examining the firm’s purpose, personality, and ambitions.
Cian O’Carroll, principal of the firm, said the refresh was partly driven by frustration over other legal practices using cases secured by his team to promote their own services. “I realised we needed to do a better job of presenting who we are, what we stand for and the work we do in a digital age, and to reclaim some of the ground we had ceded,” he stated.
The practice specializes in medical negligence and complex litigation, representing individuals whose lives have been significantly affected by injury. He praised the consultancy’s approach, noting that The Studio of Possible “took the time to understand our firm and used its vast expertise in communications and brand development to bring our work to life in a way that feels authentic to us.”
Seamus Begley, founder of The Studio of Possible, emphasized that the consultancy focused on developing what already made the firm distinctive rather than reinventing it entirely. “The strongest, most recognisable businesses aren’t created by constantly reinventing themselves. They’re built by understanding what already makes them distinctive and refining that over time,” he said.
He noted that Cian O’Carroll Solicitors already possessed “an excellent reputation and a clear sense of purpose,” with the project centered on articulating those qualities more clearly through consistent visual and verbal communication.
The updated branding includes new brand guidelines designed to ensure consistency across the firm’s online and offline communications. The Studio of Possible, founded in Dublin in 2021, specializes in helping organizations translate complex propositions into brand experiences.
